18 Aug Google Maps Adds Weather
Google announced today that their Maps service will now include a layer for weather.
The weather data, provided by Weather Channel’s weather.com, includes current temperatures and future forecasts.
Users can hover over pins for more data and forecasts, and the the maps will display sun and moon icons depending on the time.
The U.S. Naval Research Lab is also providing cloud cover data. Still, Maps for now will not provide any Doppler radar.
