I was hoping it was just an international hitch or even glitch but obviously it wasn’t. I was out of the country when Google changed the layout of their popular Google News page right around July 1. I saw it then and didn’t like it but I though that once I returned to the U.S. that G-News would reset back …

Keep in mind that the design also varies from browser to browser and can be impacted by cookies and by your personal Google settings.

So what’s the impact? On quick glance the new search …

I made the mistake earlier today of upgrading to Firefox 3.6. By mistake I mean to say the upgrade worked smooth and 3.6 looks great, but unfortunately many of my plug-ins didn’t make the trip.

If you went with the default URL when you were first setting up your feed for your blog or website on feedburner.com, then there’s still the option of changing it to a something more attractive or vanity-ish than “http://feeds.feedburner.com/<blog name>/Q7w9-2L” or the like.

That’s not Melbourne, Florida folks, but Melbourne, Australia. And it’s a long way from Jacksonville. I just got back from a three-week trip.

Going over from Jax took me from my house door to my hotel room door was about 36 hours, 30 minutes with in-seat time just over 21 hours. The itinerary given to me flew me from Jax to …

Webmasters are still waiting for the new Google Caffeine algorithm to hit the search listing and thereby make a mess (or help) their lives. But it looks like the wait will continue.

The search giant said in November the new search rankings would be released after the holidays. Well, the holidays are long over - unless we are talking MLK Day, …

Google has been a busy search engine giant of late. Last Friday they made their search engine personal and a new caffeine ranking algorithm is expected to be unveiled after the Holidays. Two very major moves.

But there not done, as of now - first time I’ve noticed - live twitter streams are showing up in the actual search …

Google has been experimenting for some time with search engine rankings (SERPS) based on user feedback, preference and prior search history.

Google has made such SERPS available via an OPT-IN to those who have signed up for a Google account and those who use the “search history” function.

Well, now Google will provide user-based SERPS regardless of whether you have signed up …
