I made the mistake earlier today of upgrading to Firefox 3.6. By mistake I mean to say the upgrade worked smooth and 3.6 looks great, but unfortunately many of my plug-ins didn’t make the trip.
Turns out they are incompatible with 3.6 and since I cannot live without them 3.6 had to go!
Fortunately it’s not to painless a procedure.
First, go here to get to the Firefox 3.5.8 page (that appears to be the latest release you can download before 3.6). Save it to your harddrive.
Next, go to your add/remove programs and uninstall 3.6. During the uninstall you can choose to have your personalizations (bookmarks, extensions, etc) removed as well.
Once completed then run installer your downloaded for 3.5.8 and you and your add-ons (in my case) will be good to go.
